There are two options to get to the park, from Mesa de los Santos or from Pescadero. If you are already in Bucaramanga, it is recommended that you arrive at the cable car station located in La Mesa de los Santos. To get there you just have to take a bus at «Papi quiero piña» (quietly ask for this reference, all Santandereans will understand it). The ticket to the station is worth approximately 5000 pesos and will take approximately one and a half hours.
The entrance fee to the park plus the cable car ride over the Chicamocha Canyon costs $46,000 for adults and $29,000 for children and older adults. This is a trip worth making since you will be able to delight yourself with the beauty of Chicamocha Canyon, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.
If you want to know more tourist destinations where nature is the protagonist, we recommend you to read about Los Estoraques.
The other option to get to the park and that does not require payment of the trip by cable car is to get directly to the main entrance of the park in Pescadero. From Bucaramanga to Pescadero there are approximately 2 hours of trip and the bus ticket is between $15.000 and $20.000 pesos depending on the transportation company. Here the entrance to the park has a cost of $21.000 for adults and $15.000 for children and older adults.
Remember that the entrance fee does not include the use of the park’s attractions. The use of attractions depends on your budget. The park has plans and bracelets or you can pay for individual use at each of the attractions.
Recommendations

4. For couples: Wafer in Floridablanca
If you have a Santandereano boyfriend/girlfriend and you have not taken him/her to eat wafer in Florida, are you really dating?!
A typical plan of the locals that all tourists began to imitate is to go to Floridablanca to eat wafers. This typical Colombian dessert has achieved its maximum splendor in Floridablanca thanks to «Pasiones Florideñas», a place specialized in wafers. There you can find «marriages», «trios», «divorces», among other varieties of wafers that have striking names.
Pasiones Florideñas is not the only place specializing in wafers in Floridablanca, but it is the precursor of the modern wafer, which no longer has only arequipe, blackberry, cream and cheese. In Floridablanca they modernized this dessert with new additions such as typical and exotic fruits, even sweets that, for the purest of wafer art, should not go between their two biscuits.
5. For the gluttons: Pepitoria, oreada meat and Hipinto
We couldn’t finish this post without highlighting the magic of the typical Santandereana gastronomy. So, if you are in Bucaramanga, you have no excuse to miss the best typical dishes of Santander. Eppecifically and as part of the top 5 of tourist places, the gastronomic tourist place par excellence is the restaurant «El viejo Chiflas». If you are travelling by land, you will find a «rural» seat of the restaurant in the middle of the road, about two hours from Bucaramanga, in the municipality of Aratoca.
The main dishes range from $20,000 to $50,000 pesos, and the suggestion that any santandereano is going to give you is that you can not stop eating pepitoria, yellow arepa and oreada meat. If you go in the morning, don’t worry, you can also find potato broth. Do not forget to accompany it with yellow arepa, which will provide you with the energy needed for any scheduled activity.
